Biography

Dr Grace Gifford is experienced in clinical and laboratory haematology. Her clinical interests include lymphomas and general haematology. She is familiar with all aspects of diagnostic haematology.

Dr Grace Gifford is an experienced clinical and laboratory haematologist with an interest in malignant blood diseases. Dr Gifford was awarded a PhD in aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and continues active research into the genetics basis of blood diseases. Dr Gifford has a compassionate, straight-forward approach to deliver empathetic care throughout the diagnosis and treatment of all blood conditions.

She has been a clinical haematologist at the Mater Hospital, since 2015. Dr Gifford is currently finalising her PhD in high-grade lymphomas, developing in-vitro diagnostic techniques to identify new biomarkers and potential targets for improved patient outcomes. Additionally, she has an interest in bleeding disorders and obstetrics/perinatal haematology. She is a practising haematopathologist at Douglass Hanly Moir.

Dr Gifford’s past and ongoing research interests are in haematological malignancies. Dr Gifford is committed to evidence-based best practices for all her patients and prioritises communication.
