Dr Greg Farmer is an orthopaedic surgeon who offers treatment for degenerative diseases of the hip and knee.

Dr Greg Farmer is an orthopaedic surgeon who offers treatment for degenerative diseases of the hip and knee, supporting people from the problem’s earliest presentation to the later stages of the condition. He is dedicated to providing treatment solutions that have a strong evidence base, and ensures that his patients are fully informed about their condition and its ongoing management. His expertise lies in ligament reconstruction, joint replacement and realignment procedures.

Greg graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982. He travelled to the UK to gain international experience and, while there his interest in orthopaedics was born. Upon his return to Brisbane, he carried out specialist training in orthopaedic surgery, completing a fellowship in 1991.

Greg has held senior positions in hospitals across Brisbane and runs a successful private practice. He’s passionate about training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons and is actively involved in medical education.
