Biography

Dr Jacob Fairhall is a neurosurgeon committed to providing excellent service to his patients and clinical support to his GP and specialist colleagues.

Dr Fairhall has a particular interest in cerebrovascular surgery, brain tumour surgery, and minimally invasive spine surgery for degenerative spine disease.

After graduating with a medical degree from the University of New South Wales, Jacob worked his formative resident years at St Vincent’s Hospital, and was an unaccredited Neurosurgical Registrar at St Vincent’s Public and Private Hospitals.

Upon completing his neurosurgical training, he went on to pursue further fellowship training in skull base and minimally invasive tumour surgery at the Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery. He then undertook an additional fellowship at Canada’s Toronto Western Hospital in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery.

Jacob has ongoing research interests in the application of Gliolan® to enhance brain tumour resection, and quality of life examination of older patients with degenerative spine conditions.

Better and fairer care. Always.

In a rapidly transforming world, St Vincent's has created a refreshed vision and strategy to help shape Australia's health and aged care future.
