Biography
Dr Jamie Young is an academic clinician working as a pain specialist with significant experience working in the field of acute, chronic, cancer pain.
He is currently a specialist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as the clinical head of department and pain specialist at St Vincent’s private Fitzroy. His other areas of interest include teaching medical students and trainees, medical leadership and research.Jamie completed his medical degree at James Cook University and went on to obtain his fellowship in rehabilitation and pain medicine.
He trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Centre where he completed his clinical diploma in palliative care.
Jamie is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. He is an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
