Biography
Dr John Albietz is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in spine surgery. He works closely with his patients to create individualised multidisciplinary treatment solutions.
Dr John Albietz is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in spine surgery. He believes that achieving optimal spine health can require both surgical and non-surgical interventions, and works closely with his patients and other allied health professionals to provide holistic treatment solutions which consider each person’s individual lifestyle and medical needs.John graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1996. After completing his specialist orthopaedic training in 2005, John travelled to Canada for further sub-specialty training. He undertook a fellowships in paediatric spinal surgery at the University of British Columbia, adult orthopaedic and neurosurgical spinal surgery at Vancouver General Hospital, and adult spinal surgery at the Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.
Since returning to Australia, John has worked in a number of hospitals across Brisbane as a consultant in spinal surgery, as well as practising privately.
