Biography

Dr Kacey O’Rourke is a clinical haematologist specialising in diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, myeloma, and non-malignant haematology.

Dr Kacey O’Rourke is a clinical haematologist specialising in diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, myeloma, and non-malignant haematology. She embraces a collaborative approach to patient care, believing open communication is key to creating treatment solutions that best work for each person and their unique health needs.

Kacey concluded her basic medical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before completing four years of specialist training in clinical and laboratory haematology. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013, she pursued a further research fellowship in clinical haematology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

As well as consulting in a number of Brisbane hospitals, Kacey is actively involved in research and education. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and she has had research published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Cancer, British Journal of Cancer, and the Medical Journal of Australia.
