Biography

Dr Kendra Hopper is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist providing comprehensive women’s health care in Toowoomba, with particular interests in obstetrics, fertility and IVF, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.

Kendra obtained her undergraduate and medical degrees through the University of Queensland and completed a Master of Women’s Health Medicine through the University of New South Wales. She undertook her specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training across Queensland, including extensive tertiary training at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital in Brisbane. During her training she also worked with the Mater Flying O&G Service, travelling to regional and rural Queensland to provide specialist gynaecology clinics and surgical care. These experiences developed a strong appreciation for the importance of providing high-quality specialist women’s health services closer to home for women living outside metropolitan centres.

Her gynaecological interests include minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, endometriosis and pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, and colposcopy. Kendra also provides fertility and IVF care through City Fertility, allowing her to care for women and couples from fertility and preconception through pregnancy and birth.

Kendra is thrilled to have joined her long-standing colleagues at group obstetrics practice, Evolve Women’s Health, many of whom she has known and worked alongside since the beginning of her specialist training. As a mother of four, Kendra understands first-hand the many competing demands women and families navigate, and brings this perspective to her practical and individualised approach to care.
