Biography

Dr Kieron Bigby is a medical oncologist with a particular interest in gastrointestinal, lung, melanoma, genitourinary cancer and neuroendocrine tumours.

Dr Bigby completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at The University of Queensland in 2001, following a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. He gained valuable experience working in the United Kingdom’s National Health Service before returning to Australia to undertake specialist oncology training across major teaching hospitals in South East Queensland. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011.

Dr Bigby has worked as a medical oncology staff specialist at Redcliffe Hospital, where he is actively involved in clinical trials, particularly in prostate cancer, and leads multidisciplinary cancer meetings. He is also dedicated to teaching and mentoring medical trainees. In 2015, he established a private practice alongside his role at Metro North Health.

With more than a decade of experience supporting patients and their families across the Moreton Bay region, Dr Bigby is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based cancer care. He values open communication and provides care with clarity, respect and compassion.
