Biography

Dr Koroush Haghighi is an experienced liver, pancreas, gall bladder (HPB) and transplant surgeon who’s performed over 1200 major pancreatic and liver surgeries over the course of his career.

Koroush is known for delivering personalised, accessible and highly responsive care that reflects his desire to help patients return to their everyday lives. Koroush performs both venous and arterial resections for complete tumour removal, and uses NanoKnife® and microwave techniques as adjunct techniques. He also uses NanoKnife® to treat locally advanced pancreatic cancers that can’t be resected.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Adelaide, Koroush concluded his specialist training at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital in 2002. He then pursued further fellowship training in HPB surgery and liver transplantation at the UK’s Queen Elizabeth and Birmingham Children’s Hospitals, before undertaking a fellowship in abdominal multiorgan transplantation from the Mayo Clinic Rochester, USA.
