Biography
Dr Lemya Abdalla is a Consultant Geriatrician who specialises in acute and sub-acute geriatric medicine.
Dr Abdalla graduated from the University of Gezira with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and completed MRCP exams (Uk) in 2017. She has extensive experience working in internal medicine in the Middle East for over 10 years before migrating to Australia in 2014.She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in 2022 having completed her basic physician training in Toowoomba and undertook Geriatric advanced training at Mater Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Abdalla returned to Toowoomba in 2022 for a permanent position as a Geriatric and Rehabilitation Consultant at Toowoomba Hospital.
Dr Abdalla provides comprehensive outpatient geriatric services and consultation at Residential Aged Care facilities and is a participant of the Geriatric On-Call Roster, at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. Dr Abdalla also holds a permanent position at Toowoomba Hospital.
