Biography
Dr Lizbeth Kenny is a radiation oncologist with clinical interests in head and neck cancer, breast cancer and urological malignancies.
Dr Lizbeth Kenny completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland and undertook specialist training at the Queensland Radium Institute, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 1987.Lizbeth has held numerous positions in the radiation oncology community including past President of both the RANZCR, and the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia. For contributions to her discipline she’s been awarded Honorary Fellowships of The American College of Radiology, the British Institute of Radiology and the Royal College of Radiologists. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland and was awarded the Order of Australia for works in radiation oncology in 2017.
Lizbeth is an advocate for multidisciplinary care and the importance of including radiation oncologists at the earliest stages of treatment to improve care and reduce mortality.
