Dr Lorenzo Calabro is an orthopaedic surgeon who works collaboratively with patients and other allied health professionals to provide tailored multidisciplinary and holistic care.
Dr Lorenzo Calabro is an orthopaedic surgeon who works collaboratively with patients to provide multidisciplinary care that considers each person’s unique needs while utilising the latest evidence-based treatment solutions.Lorenzo completed his undergraduate physiotherapy degree in 1999 at the University of Queensland, and practised as a physiotherapist for 9 years before pursuing his interest in orthopaedic surgery. After graduating with a Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine with first class honours, and concluding his specialist training in 2017, he decided to seek further experience in the UK. He undertook fellowships in complex hip and knee replacement at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, and an international clinical fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery in Bristol.
Lorenzo also holds a Master’s of Engineering in orthopaedic surgery, and routinely undertakes clinical research, often affording his patients access to the latest orthopaedic interventions and technologies.
