Biography

Dr Louise Carey is a cardiologist with extensive experience in clinical cardiology and a cardiologist with extensive experience in clinical cardiology and coronary angiography.

Dr Louise Carey is a cardiologist with extensive experience in clinical cardiology and coronary angiography, as well as expertise in the latest non-invasive echocardiography techniques.

Educated in Brisbane, Louise graduated with first class honours with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 1985. She was made a Fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians in cardiology and general medicine after completing her advanced cardiology training at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. She then went on to complete a further fellowship with the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Deciding to further pursue her interest in echocardiography, Louise travelled to the United States to train for two years at the University of Michigan Medical Centre in Ann Arbour. In 1995, after returning home to Brisbane, Louise commenced private practice at the Queensland Cardiovascular Group.
