Biography

Dr Martine Holford is a pain medicine specialist and anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney, with a particular interest in spinal pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and the intersection of mind and body in persistent pain.

After attaining her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1996, Dr Holford went on to complete her specialist anaesthesia training to become a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2004. Pursuing an interest in the management of acute injuries and post-operative pain, she then undertook post-fellowship subspecialty training in pain medicine at Brisbane’s Professor Tess Cramond Pain Management Centre in 2005. While there, she attained the Merit Award for Achievement and was admitted to the Faculty of Pain Medicine.

Dr Holford is committed to medical education and has been a member of the Board of Examiners for the Faculty of Pain Medicine and held the position of Head of Anaesthetics at Notre Dame University School of Medicine.
