Biography

Dr Michael O'Sullivan is an orthopaedic surgeon who performs hip and knee surgery.

Dr O'Sullivan has a particular interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacement as well as hip arthroscopy.

Michael graduated from the UNSW with honours in 1987. He completed post graduate orthopaedic training in 1997. In 1998 he completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the Institute of Bone & Joint Diseases in Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a fellowship in hip replacement surgery at Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in the UK. On returning to Australia in 1999 he completed a six month fellowship in joint replacement surgery.

Michael primarily specialises in hip surgery and performs knee replacements. He is an active member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia and was secretary and then president from 2013 to 2016. He remains actively involved in research and regularly presents at both local and international meetings.
