Biography

Dr Mina Ghaly is a highly qualified Australian-trained neurologist. He subspecialises in Movement Disorder Neurology, also undertakes General Neurology.

Dr Ghaly undertook extensive training in the field of movement disorders at St Vincent's hospital and deep brain stimulation at the Royal Melbourne hospital and worked with expert DBS neurologists in Melbourne and overseas. Dr Ghaly is one of a few neurologists globally who uses high intensity focused ultrasound MRgFUS to treat tremors, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.
 
He has expertise in managing movement disorders such as tremors, dystonia, and Parkinson's Disease. He has a special interest in Parkinson's disease pathology, particularly Botulinum toxin (Botox) and Device Assisted Therapy (DAT), such as Duodopa, Apomorphine, Deep Brain Stimulation - DBS and the advanced neuromodulation technology by high intensity focused ultrasound – MRgFUS.
 
Mina is active in Parkinson's research, patient advocacy and public education in this field.
