Biography
Dr Mohammed Ibrahim is a Paediatrician with a special interest in allergies.
After most recently being in the United Arab Emirates, Dr Ibrahim joins Drs Leanne Browning and Manjula Athukoralage Don at the Centapaeds practice in our Medical Centre.
Dr Ibrahim has more than 32 years of experience in many leading medical organisations in Iraq, the UK and Australia. He trained in Scotland and Australia, where he completed his CCST and FRACP.
Dr Ibrahim worked as a consultant paediatrician in the UK, Australia and the UAE, and was Head of the Ambulatory Unit, leading the allergy service and establishing a paediatric service in what became one of the most prestigious private hospitals in Abu Dhabi.
Before joining Danat Al Emarat Hospital in the UAE, he was a Senior Paediatrics Consultant, Deputy Director of Clinical Training, and Director of Paediatric Allergy Services at Central Queensland Health Service.
Dr Ibrahim was the Deputy Director of Medical Education in the Tayside area of Scotland and designated Institutional Officer for Training in Abu Dhabi. He contributed to the rebuilding of a health service in his home country, Iraq, after the war and was honorary adviser to the Director General of Health. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee, Dr Ibrahim led the development and implementation of The Child Health Curriculum.
Dr Ibrahim specialises in paediatric allergies, skin prick testing, diagnosis, explanation and management and paediatric ambulatory care.
Dr Ibrahim is passionate about helping disadvantaged children and has contributed to this globally. Outside of work he enjoys family life and supporting Manchester United Football Club.
