Biography

A/Prof Nick Vertzyas is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in joint replacement of the hip and knee

A/Prof Vertzyas is a leader in his field, performing a range of surgeries that solve hip and knee problems. He has particular interest in trochanteric bursistis treatments, total hip and knee replacement and partial hip and knee replacement surgery, and arthroscopic surgery. 

After completing his advanced training in orthopaedic surgery in Sydney, A/Prof Vertzyas became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and was awarded the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s International research fellowship to Harvard University in Boston in the United States.

A/Prof Vertzyas is Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney.
