Biography

Dr Rachel Ryan is an obstetrician & gynaecologist consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospitals. She encourages questions and is committed to providing safe, high-quality care combined with easy-to-understand, fact-based advice.

Dr Ryan believes it is imperative for people to understand their situation and all the options that are available to them so they can be fully involved in the decision-making process. She has a special interest in high and low risk pregnancy and all aspects of general gynaecology, including colposcopy and laparoscopic surgery.

Rachel graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 and then worked at the Royal Perth Hospital, before moving to Victoria. She then undertook specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at The Royal Women's Hospital and Geelong Hospital.

Rachael is also heavily involved in training the next generation of students and trainees.
