Biography

A/Professor Robert Feller is a Senior Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St Vincent’s Public Hospital and VMO at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

He is the current Chair of the Department of Gastroenterology at St Vincent’s Private and previously the Chair of St Vincent’s Private Hospital Medical Advisory Committee.

A/Prof Feller completed his undergraduate medical degree at University of New South Wales followed by basic physician training at Prince of Wales Hospital. He then undertook advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Prince of Wales and Concord Hospitals.

He was the Liver Transplant Fellow at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and subsequently completed a PhD in molecular hepatology at the Centenary Institute, University of Sydney.

He is currently the Convenor of the annual NETI-CE (National Endoscopy Training Initiative – in Capsule Endoscopy) course and the NSW Capsule Endoscopy Group and the Chair of the small bowel special interest group in the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

A/Prof Feller is a conjoint Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
