Biography

Dr Ryan Bell worked as a clinical pharmacist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital prior to returning to the University of Queensland to study medicine.

Dr Bell completed his specialist training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He was conferred Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2018. He is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. 
 
Dr Bell is a Senior Staff Specialist at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is a Royal Australasian College of Physicians accredited training supervisor of advanced trainees in rehabilitation medicine. 
 
Dr Bell is a senior lecturer for The University of Queensland School of Medicine. He is actively involved in clinical research as an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Menzies Health Institute, Disability and Rehabilitation Hopkins Centre. 
 
Dr Bell’s main areas of interest are in neurological rehabilitation, trauma rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, hypertonicity treatment including botulinum toxin injection and reconditioning following acute illness.
