Biography
Dr Salena Ward is a gastric, bariatric (weight loss) and general surgeon working at St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy.
She qualified as a general surgeon in 2009 and undertook sub-specialty training in oesophageal and gastric surgeries in Box Hill, and then in Oxford, United Kingdom. In 2013 she completed a Master of Surgery specialising in the role of enzyme supplementation following oesophageal and gastric resections.Salena has particular interest in surgeries for obesity, hiatus hernia, reflux, gallbladder removal and abdominal wall hernias. For optimal management of obesity, she works in private practice at Melbourne Weight Loss Solutions, based in East Melbourne, alongside other surgeons, physicians and allied health staff with expertise in holistic weight management.
