Dr Sally Baron-Hay is a medical oncologist with a special focus on women’s breast and reproductive conditions.

Dr Baron-Hay is highly experienced in caring for patients that have been diagnosed with breast and gynaecological malignancies. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Western Australia and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, before gaining further experience overseas in the Royal Marsden Cancer Centre, London. While concluding her training at Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sally researched the role of insulin-like growth factors in the development of epithelial ovarian cancer. She was awarded a NHMRC Scholarship and won the AACR Young Cancer Investigator award for this outstanding research.

Today, Sally is passionate about the clinical management and improvement in outcomes for women with breast and gynaecological conditions. She is the principal investigator on clinical trials in this area as well as a member of the Medical Oncology Reference Committee for Breast and Gynaecology Treatment Protocols. Sally is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and mentors advanced medical oncology trainees through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
