Biography
Dr Susan Coulshed is a Nephrologist practicing at Mater Hospital, North Sydney
Dr. Sue Coulshed is the Principal of Nephrology at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney.
Dr. Coulshed graduated from UNSW with Honours in 1982, beginning her career at Royal North Shore Hospital on Sydney's North Shore.
In 1994, Dr Coulshed relocated to the United Kingdom, working at Leeds General Infirmary where she undertook extensive training in Nephrology at St James University Hospital, the largest renal service in the UK at the time.
Sue also studied general medicine in York, where she completed studies of the MRCP.
Dr. Coulshed returned to Australia to continue further renal training at Royal North Shore Hospital, becoming a Fellow with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP).
In 1996, Dr. Coulshed joined the the Mater Hospital.
Sue has decades of experience in renal medicine, with particular interest in hypertension, dialysis, renal transplantation and hypertension in pregnancy.
Sue remains a senior General Physician, participating in the general medicine roster, managing medical issues in surgical patients. Sue is currently the term supervisor of the junior medical staff with strong and long-standing working relationships with some of Australia's most well-known and respected nephrologists.
Sue also teaches medical students who attend the The University of Notre Dame, Sydney.
