Biography
Dr McCallum studied medicine at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and completed his anaesthetic training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He then completed a Fellowship from the Faculty of Pain Medicine at one of Australia’s most well-regarded pain centres, The Professor Tess Cramond Multidisciplinary Pain Centre.
Since then, Dr McCallum has worked in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Palliative Care Department and the Princess Alexandra Hospital’s Department of Persistent Pain.Dr McCallum has travelled extensively nationally and internationally to learn new interventional pain-relieving techniques and his main areas of expertise are helping patients with chronic pain optimise the benefit from their medications. He is also actively involved with spinal cord stimulator research, so he can provide the most up to date care for his patients.

- Close collaboration with patients and their General Practitioners, to ensure the needs of patients with complex pain problems are met.
