Biography

Dr Timothy Roberts is a cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in echocardiography and adult congenital heart disease. He is focused on helping people with heart issues achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr Roberts is experienced in all the main subspecialties of cardiology, including heart failure, coronary disease and intervention, adult congenital heart disease, cardiac rhythm management and structural heart disease.

Tim graduated from Monash University in 2005 and completed his specialist cardiology training in 2012. He then undertook a fellowship in echocardiography at St Vincent’s Hospital and international fellowships in adult congenital heart disease in the UK at The Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and in the Netherlands at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. Tim has a PhD from the University of Melbourne in assessing exercise performance and cardiopulmonary limitations in people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Tim has presented his work at conferences in Europe and the USA and he is also actively involved in clinical teaching through his role as professional development and educational supervisor of basic physician trainees at St Vincent’s Hospital.
