Biography

Dr Tom Xinji Zhou is a gastroenterologist with a clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, viral hepatitis and general gastroenterology.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2003. He went on to complete his advanced gastroenterology training at Royal Brisbane and Women’s and Townsville Hospitals. During this time, he gained experience in general gastroenterology, IBD and liver diseases, and conducted clinical research into viral hepatitis.

After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011, Tom pursued his interest in liver disease, undertaking a hepatology fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where his training focused on the management of viral hepatitis, liver disease and transplant hepatology.
