Biography
Dr Vi Nguyen is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist (gut and liver specialist) She treats viral hepatitis and fatty liver disease, oesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr Nguyen studied medicine and graduated with honours at UNSW. After completing her training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Westmead and Liverpool hospitals in Sydney, she spent 2 years completing a research masters examining the gut microbiota in liver disease with University College London and Sydney University. She then completed a clinical fellowship at the prestigious King’s College Hospital in London, United Kingdom.Vi has authored a number of publications on viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and general gastroenterology, and has presented her work at both national and international conferences. She is actively involved in teaching and ongoing research in various areas of gut and liver health.
