Biography

Dr Zina Valaydon is a gastroenterologist consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospitals. She provides experienced recommendations and care to help people with gut problems to improve their quality of life.

Dr Valaydon is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist with experience in all facets of gastroenterology and hepatology, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, coeliac disease, reflux disease, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), functional bowel disorders (including irritable bowel syndrome) and liver diseases.

Zina graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree in medicine, surgery and biomedical science. She completed her general physician training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital before undertaking specialist training in her chosen field of gastroenterology and hepatology at St. Vincent's and the Austin Hospitals.

Zina regularly attends and speaks at national and international meetings and conferences. She’s also active in teaching and training medical students and gastroenterology trainees. Zina is the head of liver services at the Western Hospital.
