Biography

Dr. Arshad Barmare is a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon renowned for his expertise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders. With a career spanning over three decades, Arshad has established himself as a leader in orthopaedic surgery, specializing in joint replacement, sports injuries, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through personalized treatment plans and advanced surgical procedures including Robotic joint replacement surgeries as well as pain relieving procedure. 

Arshad completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in India in 1992. He undertook training in orthopaedics at institutions around the globe, studying in India, Singapore and the UK, before settling in Australia in 2005. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010, he pursued a further fellowship with the Australian Orthopaedics Association (FAOrthA). 

Arshad is proficient in performing complex orthopaedic surgeries including:
  • Robotic Joint replacements.
  • Revision joint replacements, 
  • Corrective Osteotomies 
  • Arthroscopic procedures for Knees, Hips, Shoulders.
  • Fracture fixation. 
  • Pain relieving procedure – Radiofrequency nerve ablation.

Arshad is an active member of National and International  orthopaedic associations and societies like AOA , AAOS , ISAKOS , AMA. Arshad is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows as the Head of Unit of Werribee Mercy Hospital, Senior Orthopaedic Lecturer for University of NotreDame, and contributions to orthopaedic literature through research publications, presentations, or participation in clinical trials.

Outside of his professional practice, Mr. Barmare enjoys sports and is still actively participates in Cricket as well as Squash, Tennis , promoting a well-rounded approach to life and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Dr. Arshad Barmare is dedicated to advancing orthopaedic care through clinical excellence, patient-centered approach, and continuous professional development, ensuring optimal outcomes and satisfaction for his patients.
