Biography
Mr Arshad Barmare is a highly-qualified orthopaedic surgeon offering comprehensive surgical and non-surgical treatment options that aim to improve quality of life for his patients.
He has expertise in orthopaedic surgery of the hip, knee and shoulder with sub-specialty interests in adult joint reconstructions and replacements, as well as sports- and trauma-related injuries.Arshad completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in India in 1992. He undertook training in orthopaedics at institutions around the globe, studying in India, Singapore and the UK, before settling in Australia in 2006. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010, he pursued a further fellowship with the Australian Orthopaedics Association (AOA).
Arshad has a keen interest in research and education and is actively involved in training the orthopaedic surgeons of tomorrow. He is a Trainee Supervisor for the AOA, an AMC Assessor and teaches at the University of Melbourne.
