Biography
Mr Damien Phillips is a Melbourne-based ENT surgeon experienced in all facets of ENT surgery. He has a special interest in paediatric snoring, sleep apnoea, hearing loss and glue ear and is focused on delivering a better quality of life and the best possible results.
Mr Phillips is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon, who in addition to his special interest in paediatric ENT surgery, has a clinical interest in microscopic minimal access sinus surgery. This can avoid the need for nasal packing and provide a better recovery outcome.Damien completed his science degree at Monash University and then postgraduate medical degree at University of Queensland. He then returned to Melbourne to undertake advanced surgical training in ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery obtaining his fellowship in 2010.
To increase his training knowledge; from 2011 to 2012, Damien undertook a subspecialty clinical fellowship at St Georges Hospital in London and then underwent invaluable additional international training in paediatric ENT as a visiting fellow at world-renowned hospitals including Great Ormond Street in London and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio USA.
Damien is actively involved in training and mentoring junior doctors and has published and presented lectures at both national and international conferences.
