Biography

Mr Derek Neoh is a Melbourne-based plastic surgeon with a clinical interest in cancer reconstruction. He adopts the most advanced techniques to deliver the best possible results to meet individual needs and expectations.

Mr Neoh has considerable experience in reconstruction following cancer surgery, particularly of the breast, head and neck.

Derek graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and then trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at major tertiary hospitals in Melbourne and Brisbane, including the prestigious Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit. Following this, he travelled overseas for additional training in breast reconstruction and microsurgery in the Netherlands at the Erasmus Medical Centre and the UK at the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns. He then spent time in Canada undertaking a fellowship at the Toronto General Hospital and the Women’s College Hospital.

Derek ensures he keeps appraised of the most up-to-date techniques to ensure he can deliver the best outcomes for people. He also has a strong involvement in teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons. He lectures regularly on plastic surgery as well as attending and presenting at plastic surgery conferences.
