Biography

A/Prof Ravi Huilgol is a vascular and endovascular surgeon whose interests encompass the assessment and treatment of all vascular disorders including both open and endovascular surgical techniques.

Dr Ravi Huilgol graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000. He then completed his vascular surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Ravi is the Chair of the NSW Vascular Surgical Society and the Supervisor of Vascular Surgery training at St Vincent’s Hospital. He has proctored, published and presented nationally and internationally, particularly regarding the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms.
He is actively involved in teaching and is a Conjoint Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at Notre Dame University Australia.

His research interests include improving the results of lower limb endovascular intervention by combining drug-eluting and covered stents, as well as researching and advancing the endovascular treatment of aortic pathology.
