Associate Professor Robyn Saw is a highly experienced surgeon with a specific interest in the management of melanoma and other skin cancers. Heavily involved in research, she is focused on meaningful engagement with patients and is passionate about educating clinicians.
Associate Professor Robyn Saw is a highly experienced surgeon with a specific interest in the management of melanoma and other skin cancers. Heavily involved in research, she is focused on meaningful engagement with patients and is passionate about educating clinicians.Associate Professor Robyn Saw specialises in melanoma patient care and surgical oncology and has a specific interest in the surgical and psycho-social management of melanoma and skin cancer. She is also actively involved in melanoma research which focuses on lymphoedema and the quality of life and care for melanoma patients.
Passionate about translating research findings into real-life clinical benefits, Robyn is also involved in the education of medical students, surgical trainees, clinicians and patients. She leads major research projects on surgery, quality of life and survivorship and coordinated the development of an early-stage melanoma booklet as well as stage III and stage IV melanoma patient information packs.
Robyn has been invited on numerous occasions to speak to GPs and other clinicians about surgery and lymphoedema in melanoma. She is Head of Department, Melanoma and Surgical Oncology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and an Associate Professor at Sydney University.
