Biography

Prof David Clark is a colorectal surgeon with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and rectal prolapse.

Born and educated in Brisbane, Prof Clark completed his specialist training in colorectal surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1999. He subsequently travelled to the UK, undertaking further training in a number of hospitals there, including the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and, in 2002, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Since returning to Brisbane in 2002, David has consulted at a number of hospitals across Brisbane, established a private practice based in St Vincent’s Hospital Northside, and holds the appointment of Associate Professor at the University of Queensland.
