Biography

Dr David Slattery is an orthopaedic surgeon who is well known for his expert treatment of hip and knee problems. He prides himself on being open and honest to ensure people are actively engaged in the decision-making process.

Dr Slattery specialises in adult, adolescent and paediatric orthopaedics, including hip dysplasia, hip arthritis, femoroacetabular impingement, slipped upper femoral epiphysis, meniscal injuries, knee arthritis, and sports injuries. He performs anterior minimally-invasive hip replacement, periacetabular osteotomy, and hip arthroscopy using the latest surgical techniques.

David graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours and completed his internship and residency at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He was accepted into the orthopaedic specialist training program in 2010 and subsequently undertook fellowship training in the UK, Switzerland and Australia in hip reconstruction, hip preservation, anterior hip replacement, knee replacement and sports injuries.

David has been published extensively on a range of orthopaedic topics.
