Biography
Dr Edema is a general psychiatrist with a special interest in youth mental health and ADHD.
Dr Edema is a consultant psychiatrist at USpace treating young people aged 16-24 years, with a clinical focus on youth mental health, ADHD, psychotic disorders, personality disorders and mood and anxiety disorders.Dr Edema completed his undergraduate studies at UNSW with Honours in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2012. He trained through St Vincent's, Prince of Wales and St George Hospitals and works as a consultant psychiatrist at Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick and USpace at St Vincent's Private Hospital Darlinghurst.
Dr Edema strives to foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship with his patients. He believes in involving the patient's clinical and personal supports whenever appropriate. The treatments and interventions he provides are tailored to each individual and are informed by a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment and formulation.
Dr Edema has admitting rights to the USpace Young Adult Mental Health Service for both outpatient and inpatient services.
