Biography

Dr. Jay Kamlesh Patel is a Specialist and Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine with a particular focus on spasticity management and neurological rehabilitation.

He provides comprehensive, individualised care to adult patients recovering from a broad spectrum of medical and surgical conditions.

Jay’s extensive training at leading metropolitan hospitals, including statewide acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury units, has equipped him with the expertise to manage complex rehabilitation cases. His practice spans both public and private healthcare settings, enabling him to deliver seamless care across various models of care. 

Committed to a patient-centred approach, Jay strives to optimise functional recovery, enhance quality of life, and promote independence for his patients. 

In addition to his clinical work, Jay is dedicated to medical education and actively collaborates with universities to train the next generation of healthcare professionals. He regularly participates in national and international specialist training to further expand his expertise. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Pain Management and advancing his skills in ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of spasticity and cervical dystonia.
