Biography
Dr Jeffrey Tu graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000 and completed over 10 years of postgraduate training at Prince of Wales Hospital, obtaining his FRACP in 2010.
Since then, he has accumulated more than 15 years of private practice experience, providing expert and compassionate care across the full spectrum of gastroenterology.His approach is holistic and patient-centred, combining evidence-based medical therapies with innovative treatments. In addition to managing common gastrointestinal conditions,Dr Tu has a special interest in difficult-to-treat disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), where he offers advanced testing and microbiome modulation strategies, including Faecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT).Dr Tu’s practice also provides a wide range of additional services, including iron infusions, therapeutic venesection, and hepatology care.
He is experienced in the expert management of intestinal parasites, offering targeted therapies such as antibiotic colonic infusions. For anorectal conditions, he performs haemorrhoid banding and Infrared Coagulation (IRC). Dr Tu offers the full spectrum of endoscopic services, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bowel cancer screening, with a strong commitment to early detection and prevention.
