Biography
Dr Kowsi Murugappan is a Breast & Endocrine Surgeon operating at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside.
Dr Kowsi Murugappan obtained her medical degree at Monash University in 2004 and then completed her General Surgical training at the Austin Hospital and Monash Health between 2006-2012. After completing three years of Breast and Endocrine fellowships, she accepted a staff specialist position at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2016.
Dr Murugappan has continued to indulge her passion for clinical teaching and research and is currently one of the principle breast cancer clinical researchers working within the UQ Centre for Clinical Research, with a growing body of published research.
Over the years, Dr Murugappan has proven to be a compassionate and dedicated Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon providing high quality of care for women diagnosed with Breast cancer. Dr Murugappan values strong relationships and communication with her patients and their primary care physicians.
