Biography

Dr Nigel Pinto is a vascular surgeon with a particular interest in minimally invasive treatments for venous disease and lower limb occlusions, aortic aneurysm, renal access, and diabetic foot.

A Brisbane native, Nigel completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, graduating with two memorial prizes. He undertook specialist training in vascular surgery at the Princess Alexandra and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals, gaining experience in open and minimally-invasive endovascular techniques for arterial and venous disease.

Nigel has been consulting publicly and privately at hospitals in Brisbane since 2017. He’s had research published and presented at national and international expert meetings, and currently holds academic appointments as Chief Clinical Scientist at Herston Biofabrication Institute, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.
