Biography
Dr Trevor Fayers is a cardiothoracic surgeon specialising in cardiac surgery.
Dr Trevor Fayers is a cardiothoracic surgeon with a clinical interest in adult cardiac surgery, as well as minimally-invasive procedures including radiofrequency ablation and mitral valve repair.Trevor graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Completing his medical training, he became a a Fellow of the College of Medicine of South Africa in 1993.
After moving to Australia, he undertook his advanced cardiothoracic training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1999.
Trevor is the immediate past President of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons and continues to be actively involved with the society.
