Biography
Dr Vee Maliyasena is a respiratory physician providing holistic evidence-based respiratory treatments for all her patients.
Dr Maliyasena is an adult respiratory physician who draws on her background in general medicine to provide evidence-based respiratory solutions that consider all aspects of her patients’ health and wellbeing.Vee graduated from her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with honours from Monash University in 2003. She subsequently completed her specialist training in respiratory and general medicine in a number of hospitals across Australia including Royal North Shore, Royal Perth and The Prince Charles Hospitals.
After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012, Vee was a staff specialist at The Prince Charles Hospital, at which time she also held the position of Director of Advanced Training in General Medicine. She still enjoys educating medical students and currently holds an appointment as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.
Since 2018, Vee has been practising privately as a respiratory physician in Brisbane.
