Biography

Professor Richard Harvey is one of only a few dedicated rhinologists (nose, sinus, allergy, and endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery) in Australia.

Professor Harvey is program head of Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery at the Applied Medical Research Centre of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is Professor at both UNSW and Macquarie University.

He has authored over 250 publications, books, book chapters, has presented over 500 lectures and talks, and continues to be actively involved in research. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Journal of Otolaryngology, Associate Editor for the Cochrane ENT disorders group, and contributes to the editorial board of several international journals and forums.

Along with training surgeons in both developed and emerging countries, Richard runs a series of courses every year to further rhinologic education and training in Australia. In 2018, Richard was awarded the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Medal.

Better and fairer care. Always.

In a rapidly transforming world, St Vincent's has created a refreshed vision and strategy to help shape Australia's health and aged care future.
