Biography

Dr Ben Cheung is a dual qualified specialist in intensive care medicine and anaesthesia. He has considerable experience treating patients with complex medical problems.

Ben completed his medical degree with honours at the University of Queensland in 1996. After finishing his specialist training in intensive care medicine and anaesthesia, he went on to complete advanced training in echocardiography and ultrasound at the University of Melbourne and a master of clinical epidemiology. He’s also been awarded a special competence in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography by the US National Board of Echocardiography and is a Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand.

Ben is a caring and valued member of the St Vincent’s Hospital intensive care unit and has been practising intensive care medicine in Toowoomba for over 20 years.
