Biography
Dr Douglas Shaw is an Endocrine, Head and Neck Surgeon who works at The Mater Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital.
He obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) in General Surgery in 2017 and completed some highly regarded subspecialty fellowships in Sydney. He completed a fellowship at Prince of Wales Hospital obtaining expertise in endocrine surgery and treating soft tissue tumours / sarcomas. He then completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. His subspecialty interests include thyroid surgery. Dr. Shaw is actively involved in several endocrine multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).He also offers a comprehensive range of reconstructive options, helping patients with skinn cancers achieve the best possible aesthetic anf functional results for all types of skin cancers. Dr Shaw is known for his thoughtful, patient-centred philosophy and his unwavering commitment to excellence in surgical care.
