Biography
Dr Michael Krasovitsky is a medical oncologist physician specializing in the treatment of lung cancers, breast cancers, advanced thyroid cancers, and primary liver cancers. He is the lead of the Kinghorn Cancer Centre Geriatric Oncology program at St Vincent’s Hospital, which focusses on the multidisciplinary care of older individuals with cancer through a multidisciplinary lens. In addition, he specializes in the supportive care of individuals with cancer; this field primarily involves optimising the quality of life of people who may be experiencing complex cancer symptoms or side effects from therapy.
Dr Krasovitsky is involved in a number of international and national trials primarily in the fields of older age oncology and supportive care for individuals with cancer. He has presented internationally on advances in breast and lung cancer, as well as the field of geriatric oncology.Dr Krasovitsky is a senior academic lecturer in oncology at the University of New South Wales. He is also a conjoint senior lecturer at Notre Dame university.
Dr Krasovitsky is proud to practice holistic, patient-focused cancer care, and has a particular passion for looking after older individuals with cancer, as well as individuals affected by breast, lung, thyroid and liver cancers. He has worked extensively with the AIDS Council of NSW (ACON), and is proud to look after many members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
